This conference will be delivered in association with the British Geriatrics Society. The aim of this conference is to help practitioners feel more comfortable with the, often complex, needs of people who live in care homes.

Our aim is to help practitioners feel more comfortable with the, often complex, needs of people who live in care homes.
The day will cover some key topics with expert local speakers including:
- Falling over
- Swollen legs
- Common skin problems
- Advanced neurological disease
- Weight loss and feeding dilemmas
- Advanced heart failure
- Medication review
Each delegate will receive a certificate of attendance
Who Should Attend (including pre-requisites)
This is aimed predominantly at local GPs, and their allied health practitioners, working in care homes that are getting to grips with the recent changes in commissioning around the provision of medical care in care homes. It will also be useful to geriatricians as well as those training in geriatric medicine or general practice.
