This is the first two days of a five day course that provides much of the underpinning
knowledge towards the 15 standards of The Care Certificate. The Care Certificate is required
in both Health and Social Care and replaces the Common Induction Standards
for Residential Care Home staff.
Objectives/Aims of Course
To provide the knowledge component for the Care Certificate.
(Note that additional training is also required – see below and that assessment is not included)
- Knowledge to cover the following Care Certificate standards: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 13 ,14, 15.
- Content is per Skills for Care presentations where available.
The course will provide the knowledge component required to complete the Care Certificate and should be undertaken alongside the following training courses : -
Basic Life Support; Safeguarding Children and Adults training; Mental Health Awareness; Learning Disability Awareness and also Dementia Awareness all of which are available through the Livewell SW Academy.
