Enhancing Motivation to Change

ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)

The Connect 5 programme is an accessible, evidence based training that is relevant
to anyone who works with people at any level. It aims to provide participants with
skills and competencies that build confidence in having conversations about
health and wellbeing in their routine practice so that they can be more effective
in helping people to manage mental health problems and increase their resilience
and mental wellbeing through positive changes

You must complete Session 1 to be eligible to attend Session 2, and complete
Session 2 to be eligible to attend Session 3.

Smoking Free Training

SafeTALK

A workshop for front-line clinical staff, Community Stop Smoking Practitioner Training
gives the tools and knowledge to deliver up to date smoking cessation advice to clients.
After attending you will be registered with the Livewell Southwest Wellbeing Team and
ready to work with clients in your clinical setting.

Wellbeing at Work - Manager's Toolkit

It is estimated that one in six employees are depressed, anxious or suffering from stress–related problems at any one time. Sometimes work can trigger or exacerbate such issues, but this can be dealt with effectively by fostering wellbeing and sustaining good mental health.

The volunteer Walk Leader course is a one-day course for anyone willing and able
to lead walks in the community. It is a day of practical advice and includes practice
in leading walks and information on keeping people motivated.

This course is designed specifically for those individuals that teach, work,
live with or care for young people aged 8-18 years and provides information,
tools & techniques to promote a young person's mental & emotional
wellbeing and guidance to support a young person who might be experiencing
mental & emotional distress.

Mental Health First Aid is an evidence based intervention that can be delivered in
a wide variety of settings, where first aid is given to an individual experiencing distress
until appropriate help and treatment is received or the crisis resolves.

Mental Health First Aid for Armed Forces Community
